Payment Options

We accept cash, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, and personal checks.

We encourage patients to keep a credit card on file to make the checkout process easier, faster, and more efficient. You will no longer receive statements from us, but you will continue to receive your Explanation of Benefits (EOB) from your insurance carrier once your claim has been processed, detailing the charges and payments made on your behalf.

At check-in we will:

  • scan the credit card of your choice, including your Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA) card

After your insurance has paid their portion, we will:

  • notify you via email of the balance owed
  • charge the balance owed to your card on file
  • email a receipt for the charge

Your credit card information will always be fully protected by our off-site, card-processing partner Elavon, and not on our computers, as required by industry standards (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard – PCI-DSS).

Additional Information

Hospital Admissions
After eight years of admitting to hospitals and much contemplation, Dr. Brady has decided not to actively care for patients during their hospital stay. If a patient of the Village Doctor should present to the ER and need admitting, a process is in place where the admission through a hospital specialist will automatically be arranged.

Labs and X-rays
In order to simplify billing and minimize the amount of office space needed, The Village Doctor does not draw blood or do X-rays on site. During the appointment, Dr. Brady will give the patient the appropriate paperwork to have these tests done at specialized facilities.

Medical Records
The Village Doctor is now using Athena Solutions as its electronic health record. Utilizing this system greatly reduces error and increases the quality of care being delivered. We remain compliant with the Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and strive to keep our patient’s records as accurate and organized as possible. Please talk to Dr. Brady if you have any concerns about your medical records.
