Biography

Virginia Koninski graduated from Saint Francis Medical Center in Pittsburgh, PA with her Registered Nursing (RN) degree in 1977. Ginny worked in the United States Air Force for 5 years before separating and going to work in the ICU at Mary Immaculate Hospital. She transitioned from the ICU to working as a Cardiac Rehab Nurse Specialist at Mary Immaculate where she stayed for 20 years. Most recently, Ginny worked as an anesthesia RN in an Oral/Maxillofacial surgery office in the area, but in 2011, she felt the time had come for her to retire. That did not last long, as she was coaxed out of retirement by Dr. Brady to help develop and run the Village Doctor Wellness program. When not working, Ginny remains very active in her church where she serves as a parish nurse and sings in the choir.
